PARABENS: Methylparaben, propylparaben, isopropylparaben, isobutylparaben.  If you see the word "paraben", please avoid it!  They are known to cause hormone imbalances, and also cause cancer.

SODIUM LAURYL SULFATE AND SODIUM LAURETH SULFATE:   Why the FDA still approves this as an ingredient is beyond me, and should be banned.  Come to think of it...the FDA should be charged for allowing these types of ingredients in the first place.   Known for causing cancer.

TOLUNE: This ingredient is toxic to the immune system, and may cause birth defects.  Pregnant women should avoid purchasing any products with this ingredient in it.  

PHTHALATES: This is an ingredient that plasticizes to keep plastic from becoming brittle.  You can find it in products like fragrances, nail polish, hair spray.  It is known to cause hormone and reproductive imbalances and also birth defects.  Big no no in my books!

POLYETHYLENE GLYCOL (PEG): It sounds nasty just trying to pronounce it!!!  This is a thickner for cosmetics, lotions, shampoo, sunscreen.  Its often contaminated with ethylene-oxide (carcinogen) and 1, 4-Dioxane , which is known to cause respitory issues and is banned in Canada.  

FORMALDEHYDE:  Not only is it used at funeral homes to preserve dead is also used in cosmetics and other things like clothing.  This ingredient is known to cause asthma, neurotoxicity, and can also be found in preservatives.  They've even tried to be sneaky and disguise it by giving it other names like; Bronopol, DMDM, hydantoin, diazolidinyl urea, imiclazolidinyl urea, quaternium-15. 

OXYBENZONE: This screws up hormones and also thyroid.  Can be found in sunscreens (Moms please read labels carefully for your kids), lip balms, lotions, cosmetics.  Other names are; avobenzone, octocrylene, ecamsule.  

DIETHANOLAMINE (DEA): Very toxic. Carcinogen. Moms beware, it is found in bubble baths.  Also found in body wash, shampoo, cosmetics.

TRICLOSAN: Causes cancer.  Wrecks your hormones.

MINERAL OIL:  This is a petroleum product.  Avoid it.

TALC:   Known to be contaminated with asbestos, which causes lung cancer.
